Welcome to the Israeli Biophysical Society

The aim of the Israel Biophysical Society is establish a scientific community that is focused on exploring the deep interface between the physical and the biological views of natural science. This society aims to bring together scientists with demonstrated expertise in molecular biophysics and biological physics, sub-disciplines in the biological sciences, that apply the principles of physics and physical chemistry to the analysis of life processes at a quantitative and mechanistic level.

Each year, the Society holds an Annual Meeting, which brings together over 100 Israeli research scientists from local universities and research institutes in the multidisciplinary fields representing biophysics. The meeting includes invited talks, oral presentations, and poster presentations.

With the significant growing of the biophysical research community in Israel, the society intends to organize additional workshops and special seminars in the upcoming years.
